FOUR AGREEMENTS EVERY STRONG COUPLE NEEDS

Tatiana Franklin

The beautiful thing about having both a 9 year-old boy and a baby girl under 12 months in the house is on the one end, I get the inquisitive, cute, still innocent questions from my son and on the other end, I get the “I’m-processing-all-this-newness” stares from my baby girl. Through all the adventure and growth that comes from raising two kids and balancing life, work, and everything in between – the constant – my constant – is my husband

WHAT IS YOUR REVERSE BUCKET LIST?

Tatiana Franklin

I recently came across the concept of the “reverse bucket list” and apparently, it’s a thing. If you’re new to this term, like I was, what this basically means is, instead of making a list of the goals you would like to achieve or the places you would like to visit before you die, you make a list of the goals you have already accomplished – think of it as a summary of your current life’s status.

Confession: "I am exhausted."

Tatiana Franklin

Everyone gets sick, even “perfectly” healthy people like the one I categorized myself to be. I became blind for a moment and I deemed "complete lack of sickness" as the translation for “perfect health.” When the infections persisted, I stressed out and let it drain me emotionally, physically and mentally and that’s why I said to myself at that park bench “I’m exhausted” because I truly was. My “perfect” health stopped being so perfect when I let other situations around me beyond my control affect me. This has truly been an eye-opening experience for me and I am thankful for the opportunity to clearly see and learn from this.

Handle Challenges without Losing your Sanity in 3 Easy Steps

Tatiana Franklin

When I was a teenager, one of my daily chores at home was to do the dishes. My family did not own a dishwasher and this was a time, age and culture when all meals were prepared from scratch and there was always a soup or salad with the meal. This equaled a LOT of dishes and pans and utensils to be washed by hand.  I did not mind doing the dishes one bit– in fact, I loved getting lost in my teenager thoughts as I cleaned dish after dish. What I did not enjoy so much was that my mom kept adding another dirty pot or pile of dishes just as I was ready to finish and dry my pruned hands.

5 Easy Ways To Be Present In The Moment

Tatiana Franklin

In today’s over-scheduled world, it is so easy to drive to work, eat dinner, even mindlessly read a book without ever being fully present - you just go through the motions.  The next thing you know, you have arrived at your destination, your plate is empty or you just completed another chapter and you have no idea how it happened. You ask yourself, “How did I get here? Was my dinner any good? What just happened in the book?”
